Hot cross bun pudding

I've seen a couple of recipes for this kind of pudding but this one is particularly quick and easy

  • preheat oven to 170*C
  • place the buttered buns in a dish
  • cover with the milk and egg mixture
  • scatter over the chocolate (we chopped up a big bar of rather than use chips)
  • sprinkle with sugar
  • cook for approximatly 30-35 minutes

I didn't get chance to photograph it cooked as it was served and wolfed down in five minutes flat! Result. Fee x

  2. This is a delicious looking recipe! Wonderful and perfect for spring! I keep thinking of that little nursery rhyme: Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, One a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns!
    So fun!

  4. Good grief that looks scrummy! I made a hot cross bun concoction a while back using marmalade and custard. Really quick and simple and heavenly. Must try this version....but might have to wait a while, I seem to have the baking bug at the moment and end up eating everything before anyone else has a chance too!

Have a super day and hope the sun is shining where you are, it is here and it looks promising!
