Coffee time! (and a raffle)

You might remember back in June I decided it would be a good idea to hold a coffee morning at my house to join in with the Macmillan 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning'  - combining a meet up of lots of my real, blogging and Instagram friends and family with the opportunity to raise some money for a BRILLIANT cause.

Obviously (and predictably!) I've since wondered what on earth I was thinking and had a MASSIVE panic!

BUT...as I keep telling myself, it's not about me. Or my house.

In fact I've since decided to join up with my lovely Mum and hold our joint coffee morning at the local church hall. It makes sense - plenty of parking, hundreds of cups, lots of chairs and tables and great big urns!!

I'll also be holding a raffle of the homemade/crafty variety. If you would like to send me something you've made (or someone else has made) as a contribution PLEASE DO!
It can be small and sweet - it all helps.
I would appreciate it if you could post it to me before the day in question so that I can sell raffle tickets from the start of my coffee morning. Here's my address:

SO - if you are remotely in the North West of England and fancy a reasonably nice coffee and bit of cake then please (PLEASE!)
come along.
Bring a friend. Bring 3 friends.

Friday 27th September
(10.30 - 12.30)
St John's Church
Brooklands Road
Sale
Cheshire
 M33 3PB
(don't come to mine - I'll not be there!)

I will be (nervously) serving tea and coffee from 10.30 until 12.30, drawing the raffle towards the end of the morning.

If you've previously offered to bring a cake that would also be great. If you could let me know for definite by email that would be lovely

chippernelly@hotmail.co.uk

I would love to see you there -
or meet you for the first time there!

Last year 115,000 people joined in the coffee morning, raising over £15 million pounds.

Just a reminder from Macmillan:

One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way.

We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.

  6. Sometimes it is very hard living downunder 'cos I can't get to do things with my gorgeous bloggy friends in the northern hemisphere. If I was in your area I would be there with a big cake in hand. Wishing you lots and lots of attendees and wonderful fun filled morning while doing something amazing.
