Cross stitch birds and Boxing Day ham...

So, with Chipper Nelly re-opening in two days time, I have decided to procrastinate some more by combining my new favourite pastime, cross stitch (never thought I'd ever write that!) with my ongoing obsession with birds.

Turns out birds aren't the easiest thing to stitch for a beginner but short attention span meant I was over flowers within an hour or so. Favourite today was this one from

In contrast, here is a photo of the bird my lovely husband Cleggy made out of the Boxing day ham! He tried to say it was a turkey but that just felt wrong. 

I did manage to make some new blocks with birds and eggs on today - if the much needed focus returns tomorrow I'll get them on the site in preparation for re-opening!
