Harvest festival, Halloween and Christmas...

Yep - I'm all over the festivals this week!
It's still incredibly busy here - and I keep forgetting to take my camera whenever we do go anywhere/do anything worth blogging about so scant news to share.

The beautiful sunflowers are a gift from The Granny for helping her decorate the church in readiness for harvest. They are a welcome burst of colour in a room seriously lacking in sunshine this week!

Here they are in all their glory - with the Northfield Primative elephants proudly marching in front of them.

Autumn is well and truly here in Manchester - which means Halloween plotting for boys
and Christmas planning for me. Its certainly more bearable now the beautiful weather has gone.

Here are my first offerings....snow babies!

...some snowy blocks

...and bird overload blocks (can you ever have too many birds?)

More next post.
Right, off to lock up the chickens and ducks - the latter being particularly tricksy when it's raining (like right now!)
I may be some time....

  1. Your blocks knock me socks off! Brilliant!
When you use old books though (like Ladybird ones) and sell the blocks, how do you duplicate the image if you only have one book.....can't fathom that. They are so very cute.
Sunflowers are amongst my fave blooms. So happy looking aren't they?!
The Princess is ALL about Hallowe'en here too! She is very very excited. Trying to decide whether to have a small Hallowe'en tea party of not. Been so busy with work and various other things, I don't want to take on too much.
Your living room is such a joy. Very fresh, light and airy, my dream room!
    Hope all good with you.

  9. Know what you mean about taking the camera. I've forgotten it when we've gone to some great places. Sometimes though I just want to get on with having fun with everyone and not try and be a lady Bailey.

My favourites are the girlie let it snow most definately.
